[ Lucy and Taz ] Private Surrender
Lucy (Female 7 Year old Heeler x) and Taz (Male 7 year old Staffy x)
Taz and lucy are both desexed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Taz and Lucy are the best of friends, having been saved from death row together, 7 years ago when they were both just pups.
Unfortunately, they are again looking for a new home, as having moved to the army base at Puckapunyal – the gunfire and bombs are stressing out Taz to the point where it is just not fair to keep him here - Taz and Lucy are looking for a home where they can spend their last years together.
Taz, is not big for a Staffy, probably a little taller than a corgi. He is loveable ratbag. He would be in heaven if he could sit on my lap all day, or at my feet getting a tummy rub. Taz loves playing and bouncing around. He is very good with my 2 year old daughter, and gently takes a biscuit out of her hand every day.
Lucy - who knows what cross she is – she is still a big puppy, She bounds around full of excitement. She seems to be quite clever, when given any kind of toy that involves food. She had basic obedience training and attended puppy school. She loves getting pats, and is full of excitement when we get home. She too is very gentle when taking a biscuit from our 2 year old daughter.. If there is too much noise and movement, such as bunch of toddlers, she will go in her kennel.
Both dogs are very much a part of our heart, and it has taken a lot of thought to the possibility of re-homing them. We just cant let Tazzy get sadder and more stressed. Since he has been back from the kennels, there has been a lot of gunfire and tank fire, etc. It is so sad to see him get worked up and stressed.
Taz and Lucy LOVE going for walks, they are used to living mainly outside, but would be just as happy to be inside. They are housetrained and they can sit and stay.
